its a gold, silver, ruby and diamond hand jewel worth 23,200! now i doubt any of us would be able to afford something like this. its gorgeous.

i want a short jacket
found this on a blog. decided i need to buy something short so i don't hide away my layers :)
skeletons & rodarte
i was in work this morning and as a group we had to create a mood board for our opinion on 'style'. anyway my manager gave us loads of magazines to rip and tear up for images and i came across the rodarte 08/09 collections in elle i think it was. i thought it would be good to relate my uni project 'laundry' too as i'm looking at mummification for now. the idea of wrapping and stitching up wounds, and using these techiques with garments. the idea came from some textile samples i did with coffee, bleach and dyes. i'll get some images up of them soon for you to see.
these collections really inspire me for this project, as they look wrapped & ripped. the colour palette for this project is appropriate also.

its a great way for alternative girls to accessorize, wish we could all do it, just a shame its permanent.
i love the whole influence around tattoos, theres a lot of meaning behind it.
my boyfriend, matthew has some amazing artwork on his arms, everytime i look at it i find something new to stare at and admire for the next week. people tend to notice the quality of the colour of his tattoos, vibrant and sexy!
rather than his tattoo artist 'Danny Rossiter' doing work on him, he turned the tables and did a photoshoot with him for our magazine, mayhem magazine. we've only had one issue out so far, its on the website but it needs to be downloaded as a pdf file. takes about 2 minutes to download. have a read and scroll down each page. magazine is about music, fashion, photography, design and lifestyle. tell me what you think. and if you think you've got what it takes to get involved, something thats gonna inspire the magazine further let us know.

no editions - print brand
i read this post by childhoodflames and i thought it was really interesting how each garment is completely individual. i work for diesel and i know that diesel jeans are all made by individually. however each style of jean is still made too look identical, but if you look carefully you can see the difference in some. anyway i did some more research into no editions, you can even select a garment from material choice so you can select what you prefer. the prints are very simple and can work with anything.

"Christian Niessen and Nicole Lachelle, two German designers based in New York, are taking the concept of ‘‘one-of-a-kind dressing’’ to a new level with their No Editions label. Niessen trawls through online newspapers and magazines for striking images (music videos, daily headlines, NASA landscapes), manipulates them on his computer until they’re completely unrecognizable and then transfers them onto clothes. The prints are all unique, which means that no two No Editions garments are ever the same. ‘‘Complete individualization is the only weapon that small designers have in the fight against big retailers and chains,’’ says Niessen, who worked with Helmut Lang as his head designer. The couple makes sure that the prints are always the focus of attention by keeping their silhouettes clean and straightforward: there are shawl- collared felt wraps, ultrathin silk camisole dresses, hooded windbreakers and straight-leg jeans that gradate from dark navy to black. ‘‘We work with customized printers and a special blend of inks,’’ Niessen says. ‘‘They are low-cost, low-tech elements that have allowed us to obtain high-tech results that are very difficult to copy.’’ In other words, don’t try it at home."
